We built two custom homes in Chicago, so we have a frame of reference with which to compare Michael Nargi Homes. Our experience here has exceeded our expectations in terms of the three factors mentioned above, and in the personal commitment to the job displayed by Michael and Patrick Nargi. Their hands-on approach to every element of the project is a tremendous benefit, and is complemented by a capable foreman and crew on site. Michael Nargi has put unexpected effort into making sure that the details of the home combine in such a way that the finished product is truly outstanding. Michael and Patrick Nargi were always available to discuss design elements and materials and to work through any concerns that arose during all phases of the project. Our working relationship with them has been very enjoyable. They strike a good balance between allowing the customer a full range of choices, while cautioning the customer of potential problems or concerns. They are willing to research numerous options on finishes, materials, etc…so that the customer makes an informed decision. We are particularly impressed by the wood products manufactured in-house by Michael Nargi Homes. We had custom Amish-made cabinetry in our two homes in Chicago. We can say without reservation that the doors, cabinetry, built-ins, trim, etc…made by Alpine Creations are of superior heft and quality, even compared to the Amish furniture. The workmanship of the wood products is unsurpassed by anything else we have seen. Kent and his crew in Alpine Creations woodshop took ample time to detail our plans with us and gladly engaged in some creative design work with us. This aspect of customization allowed us to add a high degree of creativity and uniqueness to our home, tailored to our needs. We are extremely happy with the finished products. At every stage, Michael has checked to make sure we remain comfortable with the process and progress of the home. Our home will be completed earlier than expected; Michael Nargi continues to refute the norms of construction times set by other Durango builders. As newcomers to Durango, we were not knowledgeable about how the climate and natural features of the Durango area presented some specific construction parameters. We appreciate Michael’s diligence in pointing out and solving design/technical concerns that we would not have known about on our own. The people connected with Michael Nargi Homes take pride in their work and exhibit an enthusiasm for completing homes that are aesthetically pleasing and solidly built. Our job site was kept extremely clean and orderly. Many neighbors commented on and appreciated the pleasing appearance of the site. Again, pride in workmanship was apparent and exhibited by all subcontractors working for Michael Nargi Homes. Should we ever build another home in the Durango area, we would choose Michael Nargi Homes again without a second thought. Our experience has been enjoyable and the resulting home – one that we consider spectacular. We very much look forward to living in our new home which is beautiful, functional, and built to our exact specifications.
